Chapter 1 - Doorway to the Infinite

The Dao that can be traced,
Is the eternal Dao replaced;
The name that is defined,
Is a cover that dies with time.

The beginnings start in the nameless,
The birth gives names that made us.
In the empty we see the Dao's essence,
In the having we see the Dao's edges.

Two of the same,
But different in name.
It's the mystery of mysteries.
Doorway to the infinite.

道可道，非常道；名可名，非常名。无名，天地之始；有名，万物之母。故常无欲，以观其妙；常有欲，以观其徼。此两者同出而异名，同谓之玄。玄之又玄，众妙之门。
