Chapter 15 - Spot the Daoist
The Daoist is enigmatic yet subtle, different in being.
The Daoist is,
Enigmatic yet subtle,
Different in being.
They hide in plain sight,
Thus can only be described via proxy.
They are careful of each step,
As if they are walking on the edge of the abyss.
They are vigilant of each action,
As if each action affects their neighbors.
They are respectful in their presence,
As if they are honoured guests.
Yet,
They act without inhibition,
As if ice when it melts.
They are down to earth,
As if not having learned how to live.
Their heart is open,
As if the deepest of valley.
They are honest and simple,
As if they are stupid.
Who can wait for the mud to settle in the water until it clears?
Who can let stillness be the action that gives birth to life?
This Daoist,
Does not strive for more.
Just enough,
For there to be space for renewal.
