Chapter 32 - Balance in Naming

Dao is something, untouched, hard to name. Small it may seem, but impossible to tame.

Dao is something, untouched, hard to name.
Small it may seem, but impossible to tame.

Nature and heaven will abide,
The one that keeps Dao beside.
At the boundary where heaven and earth divide,
Honey dew will drop and humanity self provide.

From names and things we create order,
But with names come separation and excess border.
Knowing when to stop, can prevent danger,
The essence of Dao will always belong to nature.
What comes to being will always flow,
Back like the river it goes.
