Chapter 7 - Rising Above The Self

Heaven and earth do not live
For themselves,
As such they are eternal.

The true Daoist is not conscious
Of their own self
As such they will rise above all.

The true Daoist is not protective
Of their lives
As such they will out live all.

As is the selfless nature of Dao,
It's the truest way to become who you are.

天長地久。天地所以能長且久者，以其不自生，故能長生。 是以圣人后其身而身先；外其身而身存。非以其無私邪？故能成其私。
